There is a [tenuous] link with Jeremiah Horrocks in that Astley
Hall is home to a painting of him viewing the transit.
So, on transit day they were open for viewing after which observers could go
round an exhibition in the Hall.
In addition to this there was also a newly commissioned play with poster below
(It had been raining, so it was a bit wet!)
