Prologue

These pages are the diaries of our trip to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands. 
The trip was preceded by very short stays in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, Argentina.

The pages are "lavishly" illustrated so some pages may take a few moments to load - I think it is worth the wait.

I will be producing an enhanced version of the diaries on CD-ROM which will contain:

• photographs - more comprehensive coverage of activities and sights.
• maps and graphs - rough sketches of landing sites, detailed GPS maps and temperature profiles of each landing. 
• video clips - the toast at Shackleton's Grave, the antics of penguins, humpback whales and Orcas .
• documents - pdf files of the daily programmes.
